Genre: Audiophile, Rock | Mono/Stereo: 2 Channel
EAC Rip | Included: EAC Log + Cue + Ape + Covers
Size: 508 MB | RAR files | RS.com

Album Notes
Ηell Freezes Over marks the first reunion of the original members after some 12 years. It also incorporates 4 brand new tracks recorded in 1994 as well as being a veritable smorgasbord of some of their greatest hits like Tequila Sunrise, Take It Easy, Life In The Fast Lane, Desperado. Oh yeah and another little ditty called Hotel California which has to be heard to be believed! We’re talkin’ musicians at the peak of their powers. All in stunning XRCD2 sound!
The album name is in reference to a quote by Don Henley after the band's breakup in 1980; he commented that the band would play together again "When Ηell Freezes Over." One of the most notable tracks is a new arrangement of "Hotel California" that features an extended acoustic guitar and percussion opening. At the beginning of the concert, Glenn Frey stated to the audience jokingly that "For the record, we never broke up, we just took a 14 year vacation". The new song "Get Over It" became a modest hit, and another new song, "Love Will Keep Us Alive", reached #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
The album went to #1 on the Billboard album chart upon its release where it stayed for two weeks.
The XRCD2 offers a much better sound as the regular release. Give it a listen, it/s simply amazing!

Chris De Burgh - Crusader

Chris De Burgh - Crusader

Review by Mike DeGagne

The title track to 1979's Crusader is not only this album's crowning glory, but also serves as one of de Burgh's finest songs. Its narrative is based on the courageous efforts of Richard the Lion-Hearted and his spirited battle against Saladin, the king of the Saracens during the crusades that took part between the 11th and 13th centuries.
Broken into four separate parts, its detailed story line and moving musical passages exemplify de Burgh's talent as an intriguing anecdotist. His seriousness and passion build the song until the very end of the "Finale," in which the moral of "Crusader" is revealed through his soft-spoken final words.
Even though this track bears most of this album's weight, the rest of the songs aren't without their merit. de Burgh still musters up enough romance to make "It's Such a Long Way Home" a likeable tune. The serenity and overall quaintness of "The Girl With April in Her Eyes" aptly display his gift of singing cobblestone courtyard love songs. These songs, along with "Quiet Moments," insure that his talent for singing gallant, gentle pieces has not escaped him. Although these songs house their own distinct beauty, this album's true value lies in "Crusader," his most moving and compelling work.
Tracklisting:
1. Carry On
2. I Had the Love in My Eyes
3. Something Else Again
