Michael Holbrook Penniman (born 18 August 1983), known as Mika, is a London-based, Grammy-nominated and BRIT Award-winning singer-songwriter, who has a recording contract with Casablanca Records and Universal Music. He rose to fame at the start of 2007.
"The Boy Who Knew Too Much" is the upcoming second studio album by pop singer Mika. It is set to be released on September 21, 2009, under Casablanca Records through Universal Music Group.

Background
Mika worked with producer Greg Wells, who also produced his debut album Life in Cartoon Motion. The album was written in Olympic Studios, London, which began in June 2008. In September 2008 he moved to Rocket Carousel Studios, Los Angeles, where the album was recorded. Mika has described the album's themes as dealing with his teenage years, and "in a sense is kind of part two" of his first album. The album was originally titled We Are Golden after the first single from the album, "We Are Golden". On July 20, 2009 in an on-air interview with DJ, Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 1, Mika revealed he was considering renaming the album, because he wanted "something a little more ridiculous." On 6 August, 2009 it was confirmed that the album's title would change to The Boy Who Knew Too Much.

Cover design
As with Mika's debut album Life in Cartoon Motion, the album art has been designed by Mika's sister (who works under the nom de plume DaWack), Richard Hogg and Mika himself. The artwork has been inspired by children's picture books from the 1940s to 1970s.

# "We Are Golden" is the first single from the album. It made its radio debut in the United Kingdom on July 20, 2009.
# "Blame It On The Girls" is the upcoming second single from the album.

Album information

The band has described it as a modern retro rock album. "This time, we're taking some new directions with our songs, and we're exploring different styles," they stated, "There is a definite classic rock vibe on some of the tracks... a tip of the hat to groovin', funkin' 70s rock songs - but ones we have brought into the here and now."
During an interview with the Chilean radio station Radio Universo, vocalist Joey Tempest said that "Last Look at Eden is more a Europe album than Secret Society and Start from the Dark. Last Look at Eden is a real Europe album."
Drummer Ian Haugland said that Start from the Dark and Secret Society had led up to Last Look at Eden, and Tempest agreed, saying, "We had to make those two albums in order to do this." "With the two first comeback albums [Start from the Dark and Secret Society], we were very focused on trying to modernise the sound," Tempest said in an interview with the British magazine Classic Rock, "This time we followed our hearts and soul. It's very classic-sounding and melodic. It's almost like we've gone full circle."
Europe premiered one of the album tracks, "Mojito Girl", on the Chilean tour in April 2009. Two other tracks, "Last Look at Eden" and "Gonna Get Ready", were premiered on a concert in Norway in May.
In May 2009 Europe went to Gothenburg to work with director Patric Ullaeus on the music video for the first single, "Last Look at Eden", which was released on June 8, 2009. The video was premiered on Europe's MySpace page on June 3. In August Europe went back to Gothenburg to work with Ullaeus on the video for the second single, "New Love in Town", which was released on September 3, 2009. The video was premiered on Europe's MySpace page on September 5.
The album debuted at number 1 on the Swedish album chart.

Review by Stuart A Hamilton
Swedish melodic-rock band Europe shot to fame when, after some Swedish success with their first two records, the 1986 album The Final Countdown became a worldwide phenomenon, selling over three million copies in the USA alone.
Their big hair and big melodies were in the right place at the right time as that album and the follow-up Out of This World were Top 20 US hits, along with two top 10 US singles in the shape of "The Final Countdown" and the big ballad "Carrie", with the former hitting number 1 in 25 countries, including the UK, France, Italy and Germany.
Grunge took care of Europe, as it did so many others, and they shut-up shop in 1992 after Prisoners In Paradise. They did play one show to celebrate the millennium, but didn't get back together until 2003, when The Final Countdown line-up reunited with John Norum returning as lead guitarist, rather than his replacement Kee Marcello. Now I must admit that I wasn't much of a Europe fan first time out, but having seen the reunited band live, I was persuaded that things were more to my liking this time around.
This is their third album since they got back together, following on from Start From The Dark and Secret Society, and sees them continuing on the heavier, darker, rockier road that their reunion has seen them take. And, in the main, it's is an excellent release.
The title track is an outstanding opener, with the guitars of John Norum and the keyboards of Mic Michaeli vying with each other in a who is heaviest competition. Joey Tempest's voice is deeper and richer than it was in their high flying eighties, but the music needs the extra depth that he brings. John Norum even gets a chance to get his blues on, on tunes like "Catch That Plane", something that they wouldn't have been capable of pulling off, twenty years ago.
There are a couple of big ballads thrown into the mix. After all, they'll still want to keep the ladies sweet! The best of them is "New Love In Town", a song that is followed by the contrasting, bludgeoning "The Beast", which is as close to heavy metal as Europe are ever likely to get. There is a brief sag in the middle around "Mojito Girl" and "No Stone Unturned", which aren't up to the high standards set by the other songs, but it doesn't really spoil things.
Rockin', bluesy, funky and melodic rock albums don't get much better than this one. So, if you've missed out on the Europe reunion, buy it, enjoy it, rock it!

Earning diva cred with storm and stress
By Jon Pareles The New York Times

Seven years after her last album of pop songs, two years after her divorce, Whitney Houston re-emerges with full diva qualifications on I Look to You.
For the album, most of the revelations aren't verbal; they're in the husky, vehement sound of Houston's voice.
Houston started her career as a goody two-shoes with a glorious vocal instrument. Then came her turbulent marriage to and divorce from Bobby Brown, shaky public performances, her admitted drug use and her long absence from pop after her 2002 album, Just Whitney.
Just Whitney was a bristling, defensive album; I Look to You, with Houston's longtime mentor Clive Davis as her co-producer, is more subdued, canny and cautious. Houston still sings about the power of love, though it's not always benign anymore.
The album is split between songs that hint at her travails and songs that try to ignore them, like the lightweight, Motown-tinged first single, Million Dollar Bill, written and produced by Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz.
The title song, written by R. Kelly, harks back to Houston's heyday, only to reveal how much she has changed.
I Look to You is a gospel-rooted ballad that builds up to a vow of devotion before humbly tapering off. Her voice is thicker and lower, and her improvisatory phrases are shorter. They curve downward as if tugged by gravity, making her approachable, even sympathetic.
Houston's back story also infuses the upbeat, electronic Nothin' but Love, which promises love to "even the ones who tried to break me," and a hymnlike Diane Warren song, I Didn't Know My Own Strength, which aims to become an inspirational diva standard: "I crashed down and I tumbled, but I did not crumble/I got through all the pain."
The album's final song, also by R. Kelly, is Salute, a sparsely arranged minor-key breakup song that jeers, "You say I'll never do better/Yeah, right, whatever."
For danceable tracks, the album draws on other current hit makers, including Fernando Garibay, Stargate and Nathaniel Hills (aka Danja). And Houston collaborates with the producer and singer Akon on midtempo songs promising reconciliation — with a man, but also, perhaps, with the audience that now listens to Beyonce, Keyshia Cole, Rihanna and Ledisi. At times, in the wistfully insinuating Like I Never Left, her voice is nearly indistinguishable from Akon's computer-tuned croon.
Houston is tentatively climbing back into the pop machinery, no longer invincible but showing a diva's determination.

Here's a track-by-track rundown of what's in store:
1. "Million Dollar Bill" (3:24)
Opening the proceedings is this club jam that practically screams remix. Produced by Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, it's accented by a catchy hook on which Houston emphatically notes, "If he makes you feel like a million dollar bill, say it." The song contains a sample from "We're Getting Stronger" as performed by Loleatta Holloway.
2. "Nothin' But Love" (3:35)
Behind the production helm are uptempo specialists Fernando Garibay and Nate "Danja" Hills. Houston proclaims that after everything she's been through, she has nothin' but love for family, teachers and "anyone who tried to hate on me/ Even the ones who tried to break me take me down."
3. "Call You Tonight" (4:09)
This is a lilting mid-tempo tune about love, a cornerstone subject in Houston's storied career. Her assured, distinctive vocals are front and center on this Stargate production.
4. "I Look to You" (4:26)
The first single and title track is one of two R. Kelly compositions on the album. It's a simple, inspirational ballad that comes closest to Houston's iconic "I Will Always Love You"; co-produced by Tricky Stewart and Harvey Mason Jr.
5. "Like I Never Left" featuring Akon (3:49)
Akon produced this easygoing, mid-tempo groove about reconciling lovers. His musical tenor is the perfect complement to Houston's resonating, gospel-honed voice. She also co-wrote the song.
6. "A Song for You" (4:11)
The album's only cover is a classic penned by Leon Russell and recorded by a number of artists, most notably Donny Hathaway. Houston puts her own stamp on the track, starting slow and then revving up the tempo. Remindful of Houston's 1993 cover of "I'm Every Woman," this is another Stargate-produced track.
7. "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" (3:40)
It wouldn't be a Whitney Houston album without at least a couple of ballads. This dramatic anthem -- heavy on the piano, drums and synths -- was penned by Diane Warren and produced by David Foster.
8. "Worth It" (4:39)
An understated but still sassy and saucy Houston goes to work on this mid-tempo song about knowing when love is worth it. She sings, "This is for the lovers just getting on their feet; for the lovers 20 years deep." It's produced by Eric Hudson (Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Mary J. Blige).
9. "For the Lovers" (4:13)
Houston ratchets up the beat on this outing, whose contemporary, infectious rhythms signal another potential club and/or top 40 single. Nate "Danja" Hills produced.
10. "I Got You" (4:12)
With its atmospheric backdrop, this cut is a heart-felt declaration about the never-fading chemistry between two former romantic partners. Akon steps back in as producer on this mid-tempo selection, also co-written by Houston.
11. "Salute" (4:10)
Minimal accompaniment -- keyboard, drums and guitar -- provides the backdrop on the second of R. Kelly's contributions. With conviction in her voice, Houston is ready to shed no more tears as she salutes a departing lover. You can fill in the blank.

Biography
Chris de Burgh (born October 15th, 1948) is an Irish musician and songwriter.
Born Christopher John Davison in Buenos Aires, Argentina (he is the son of a British diplomat and an Irish secretary), his father’s career moved the family to numerous places around the globe such as Malta, Nigeria, and Zaire. At the age of twelve, the family returned home to live in Tomhaggard in County Wexford, Ireland, where his father bought the twelfth century Bargy Castle and converted it into a hotel.
A graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, as a performer, he adopted his mother’s maiden name as his stage name. Performing songs crossed between Driving Rock and Middle of the Road catchy pop, De Burgh is most famous for his single “Lady in Red” from the album Into the Light. For that album, released in 1986, he included the song “For Rosanna” he had written to celebrate the 1984 birth of his daughter. Rosanna Davison won the Miss World title in 2003. He also has two sons named Hubie and Michael by his wife Diane.
His songs have appeared in films as diverse as Arthur 2 , American Psycho and Dodgeball and his records have sold more than forty million units internationally. On tour he is known to the crew as stumpy due to his lack of inches. ---last.fm

Irish singer/songwriter Chris de Burgh has always consistantly delivered sweet, smart tunes such as "Traveller" and "Every Drop Of Rain," so it's logical that even though he's never broken the top ten, his work merits a "best of" collection like this one.
"Best Moves" brings together the strongest singles from Chris de Burgh's first five albums, making for a short but pleasant collection of early material. Not all the tracks are ballads though, & the album is greatly benefited by the eerie 'Spanish Train' & the whimsical air of 'Patricia the Stripper'. A live version of 'Broken Wings' appears here as well, with its album version coming from 1977's At the End of a Perfect Day. With his more graceful work, songs like 'Every Drop of Rain', 'Satin Green Shutters', & 'Lonely Sky' showcase his talent for singing elegant ballads that glisten with de Burgh's rural feel. 'A Spaceman Came Traveling' is one of his more appealing story-type songs that is benefited by its hymn-like chorus. By far, the greatest attribute of Best Moves is the addition of the nine-minute 'Crusader' from the album of the same name. Not found on 'The Very Best of Chris de Burgh', one of the more accessible compilations from this artist, its wonderful tempo change & narrative balance out all the other ballads on this 11-song set. As the songs on this collection prove, de Burgh's most enjoyable material came from early in his career. 'Best Moves' offers an admirable assortment of both love songs & intricately woven tales. Although much of his material that followed this compilation should not be disregarded, this album does make for a brief but delightful listen. 11 tracks. A&M Records. 1985. ---cduniverse.com

Review by Koala
Well, Chris has done it again! This album follows on in a proud tradition of music which speaks very deeply about the human condition. Chris's lyrics bring outstanding wisdom to our troubled times. Also, his ability to move the soul with his soaring soundscapes is beyond comparison. Many people fail to see the genuis of Chris De Burgh. Only many years after he has gone may his contribution to music be fully appreciated. All of his tracks, right from the first one through to all the rest, exude brilliance and wonderfulness in almost dizzying quantities. This man truly does not know his own strength! ---amazon.co.uk
