Biography:
Walter Bruce Willis (born March 19, 1955), better known as Bruce Willis, is an American actor and producer. His career began in television in the 1980s and has continued both in television and film since, including comedic, dramatic, and action roles. He is well known for the role of John McClane in the Die Hard series, which were mostly critical and uniformly financial successes. He has also appeared in over sixty films, including box office successes like Pulp Fiction, Sin City, 12 Monkeys, The Fifth Element, Armageddon, and The Sixth Sense.

Motion pictures featuring Willis have grossed US$ 2.55 to 3.05 billion at North American box offices, making him the seventh highest-grossing actor in a leading role, and ninth highest including supporting roles. Willis was married to actress Demi Moore and they had three daughters before their divorce in 2000 after thirteen years of marriage. He is a two-time Emmy Award-winning, Golden Globe Award-winning, and four-time Saturn Award-nominated actor.

Album Notes:
Bruce is one hell of a man. I think that's one of the reasons why people often put him down. When you do everything so well there will always be haters who just want to drag you down. What this multi-talented man can do with his voice, few can accomplish with their entire bodies. Bruce Willis is such an underrated musical star that deserves so much more acclaim than he received. Give him a chance and pick up this CD and hear for yourself.
"Classic Bruce Willis: The Universal Masters Collection" is Bruce's 18-track greatest hits CD. This came out in 1999 in Europe and includes a 2-page biography about Bruce as well as some great pictures, too. This is one of the very best jazz CDs that I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. If you love colossal harmony (and harmonica!) and enjoy having a fun time and don't give a fiddle about popular music than this is certainly for you.  ---Review By L. Christy (amazon)

01. Under the Boardwalk:
The first track starts out with Bruno speaking to another beach comber before he starts singing this classic tune. This is probably my very favorite song on the entire CD because Bruce sounds so youthful and full of energy. This is a very slow song which includes a great set of instrumentals which only compliment Bruce's marvelous voice.
02. Respect Yourself:
Horns, harmonicas and a deep base are a prelude to Bruce's strong voice. Besides the powerful singing, this is a great song because of the fantastic background singers. This is a song that everyone will want to dance to, it's a fast and fun celebration.
03. Down In Hollywood:
I love hearing the laughter as the song begins because it's a reminder that this entire collection was put out so you can have a good time. This is another fast song with a very strong hook and lots of great jazz beats. The chorus is very addictive because it comes out of nowhere and will hit you like a ton of bricks.
04. Young Blood:
This is a classic jazz track. Totally frenzied lyrics, singing, background music, beats and rhythms make this one of the best songs of this entire CD.
05. Comin’ Right Up:
"1-2-3, hit it boys," Bruce yells out at the beginning. "And for anything and I'll say up, coming right up..." This song has wonderful music and lyrics that are furious, fast and completely carefree. This is a universal song that everyone can dance to.
06. Secret Agent man, James Bond is Back:
Bruce gives this classic song a jazzy spin. The range of his voice is really displayed on this track as he sings in a different octave. It's a mid-tempo song that's bluesy and picks up quickly. I also enjoy this song because the instrumental is a perfect fit.
07. Save the Last Dance for Me:
"Save the Last Dance For Me" is one of the slowest songs on the entire CD. Bruce sounds so sexy and sensitive on this song. Listening to this song is like listening to a private concert. Every time I listen to it I always close my eyes and pretend that Bruce is singing right in front of me. The song is so romantic and is a reminder that no one should have to dance alone.
08. Fun Time:
Fun time is exactly what this entire song is. It's a 3 minute party. The song is very fast and loud and a wonderful track to shake your booty to.
09. Lose Myself:
I really enjoy the lyrics of this song. The beginning, middle and ending is just so perfect because it starts out a little slow and even somber but Bruce really picks up momentum. The lyrics are a little risque and Bruce has been called many things throughout his very long career, but a shrinking violet he is not.
10. Flirting With Disaster:
The tenth track starts out really fast and within seconds Bruce is on the hook, sounding better and more manly than ever. This song is just 110% pure Bruce Willis. It's another frenzied song with lots of jazz sounds.
11. Jackpot (Bruno’s Bop):
Bruce wrote "Jackpot" and anyone who listens to it can tell because it starts out with a bit of his signature comedy that we have come to expect in his music. He doesn't take himself too seriously and that's why I love him and this song. This would have to be the fastest and the most crazed track Bruce has ever sang. He's singing a mile a minute and when he isn't singing the harmonica is in full force. This song will be playing in your head for days on end after you hear it.
12. Blues for Mr. D:
Another track that Bruce produced. This is actually a moody slow song that has a rather retro feel to it. Listening to "Blues for Mr D" is like a throwback to the speakeasies of yesteryear. This is a masterfully produced song because it displays just 1 more facet of Bruce's musical talents.
13. Tenth Avenue Tango:
This is a mid-tempo/fast instrumental track. Bruce's harmonica just won't quit. I don't think he ever played better. It just goes on forever, but it also feels too short because Bruce leaves the listener wanting even more.
14. Love Makes The World Go Round:
This is a very sweet and romantic ballad. Bruce sounds almost timid and shy as he churns out another hit. Although not as in-your-face as some of the other songs on this collection, this is a memorable track because it presents a very relaxed and at-ease Bruce.
15. Here Comes Trouble Again:
On this jazz track Bruce's voice sounds so masculine and deep that you may think you're listening to another performer at first. But it is Bruce. The man knows more tricks than a rodeo clown. And his voice is the canvas of the art which is his music.
16. Soul Shake:
This is totally a throwback to the classic songs of the '50s. Bruce and his lady singer sound like the greatest duet I have heard in a long time. The lyrics aren't overly powerful but the music more than makes up for it. Lot's of electric guitar can be heard in the background.
17. I’ll Go Crazy:
A mid-range track that is both fast and slow. This song has a special quality to it because Bruce is able to sound both modern and classic. I can hear so much energy every time I listen to "I'll Go Crazy."
18. Respect Yourself (Extended 12” Version):
In 1987 actor Bruce Willis, with help from June Pointer of The Pointer Sisters, released a version which reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 (seven places higher than the Staples original version). Willis' version also peaked at number 20 on the Hot Black Singles chart and number 22 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
This is the perfect track to tie up this entire album because like all of the songs, it is a celebration of music, life and love. Listening to this song has always been a reminder to me that respect is just as important as music. The extended remix is even better than the original track because the hooks, beats and interludes make this a great song to dance to. This is also a great song to listen to anytime you're feeling a little down because Bruce will be sure to put a smile on your face. No one can listen to this song and not be happy afterwards.

Album Notes:
It’s astonishing to think that when this record was released in 1969 King Crimson had been together for less than nine months.
Aside from the impeccable musicianship, the record’s impact was helped enormously by Barry Godber’s cover painting. Commissioned by Crimson lyricist, Pete Sinfield, rarely has an album sleeve so accurately conveyed the shock-and-awe reaction which this extraordinary music produced in its listeners. Even the jewel-case format has done little to dilute its iconic power.
Going into the album charts upon its release on both sides of the Atlantic, the first incarnation of Crimson imploded whilst on tour in America in December 1969. Though short-lived, the music produced by this line-up continues to resonate 40 years later.
In light of this, Pete Townshend’s declaration that the album was “an uncanny masterpiece” seems something of an understatement.
“brooding Wagnerian angst and whizz-bang virtuosity...daringly executed, lovingly updated in high-res, lossless sound” John Bungey, The Times
“music rich in ambition and atmosphere...the frenzied jazz-rock of 21st Century Schizoid Man...wouldn’t sound wildly out of place on a Queens of The Stone Age album” Paul McGee, The Word.
“King Crimson’s debut is still eclectic and original enough to lay claim to being the first major statment of the progressive rock epoch.” Mike Barnes, Mojo.

"The new version of In The Court of the Crimson King (is) restored from the best available studio master tapes...These DGM DC/DVDA editions are essential for longterm fans and newbies alike” Tommy Udo, Classic Rock presents Prog.

The 2009 Remix
This, the Wilson-Fripp 2009 Definitive Edition Remix, was an unexpected yet inevitable outcome of Steven’s interest & initiative in moving the Crimson catalogue into 5.1.
The original Wessex recording was on 8-track. This necessitated several sub-mixes; such as drums, bass guitar, piano & acoustic guitar on one stereo pair and all the mellotrons on another. These stereo sub-mixes were then mixed down to the original stereo master; the final master took another generation, to allow for cross-fades; and production masters went another generation. The original stereo master was lost for decades, found by Simon Heyworth in a pile of KC tapes from the Virgin tape store, and until recently was the best master available.
On this release, Steven was able to transfer all the original analogue multi-tracks to digital, enabling us to work from the first generation tracks prior to sub-mixing.
We have taken the original mix as our template. The only significant change to the original release is our edit of the improv following Moonchild. This was discussed at the time, has been discussed since, and is now done.

The legacy of In The Court of the Crimson King.
A life-long King Crimson fan, 40th Anniversary Editions producer, Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson offers his thoughts on the debut album.
“For me this is the birth of progressive rock. Yes there were other albums before that. You could say Sgt. Peppers or Moody Blues Days Of Future Passed have a claim to laying down a blueprint of progressive rock but ITCOTCK really is the first time you have such technical prowess allied to musical experiments, great songwriting, and a conceptual feeling all tied together in one record.
I think musicianship is the key here. Bands like The Beatles and the Moody Blues attempted very ambitious psuedo-progressive albums before, but Crimson was the first time you had a band that were able to go that one step further in terms of their musicianship. They were young guys full of ideas and ambition and I really think you have to say that this is the true point at which progressive rock is born, and some would say never bettered.
Some people snigger at the idea of progressive rock but for me when progressive rock was at its peak in the 69 - 74 period it was the most experimental, most credible, most ambitious music that has ever been made. The guys were reaching for the stars and very often got there."

Album Notes
"It's Only Love" is an album by Simply Red. It was released in 2000 on East West Records. It peaked at #27 in the United Kingdom and #35 in Germany. The album is a compilation album primarily featuring the band's love ballads.

Biography
Simply Red originated from the 1976 Sex Pistols gig at the Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester, England. Manchester art student Mick Hucknall was one of the many young music fans present, along with original members of the bands Joy Division, The Smiths and Buzzcocks. The first incarnation of the band was a punk group called The Frantic Elevators, which existed for 7 years, with limited releases on local labels, but split in 1984 with only limited local attention and critical acclaim for their final single, "Holding Back the Years".
After the demise of The Frantic Elevators, Hucknall linked up with manager Elliot Rashman. By early 1985, Hucknall and Rashman had assembled a band of local session musicians, and began to attract record company attention. Around this time, the group adopted the name Red (after Hucknall's nickname, which denoted hair colour). The name Simply Red came when the manager of a local venue was confused about the band's name and Hucknall replied that the band's name was "Red, simply [just] Red." The resulting misnomer was printed on publicity posters as "Simply Red," and the name stuck. They signed a contract with Elektra in 1985, with the somewhat changeable line-up of Hucknall, Tony Bowers (bass), Fritz McIntyre (keyboards), Tim Kellett (brass), Sylvan Richardson (guitar) and Chris Joyce (drums).
Their first single, released in 1985, was "Money's Too Tight (To Mention)", a cover of a soul standard originally recorded by The Valentine Brothers. This single had big international success, reaching the UK and Irish Top 20, later the American, French and Dutch Top 30, and the Italian Top 5, beginning a successful career in Italy, sometimes more successful than in the UK. Their debut album, Picture Book, was also released in 1985.
In 1986, the band re-recorded a song that the Frantic Elevators had recorded earlier, "Holding Back the Years", in an interesting soul ballad style, and this time it was a major hit, peaking at #1 in Ireland, #2 in Great Britain, #3 in the Netherlands, #20 in Italy and later #1 in the United States. The song established Simply Red as a household name, and remains one of the band's most recognized works. The album began to sell more copies, and soon became an international hit.
Their second album, 1987's Men and Women, saw the band adopting bowler hats and colourful suits instead of their earlier ragamuffin look, and the introspection and social commentary of their debut performance was replaced by a blue-eyed soul sound with funk influences.
With their third album A New Flame in 1989, Simply Red adopted a yet more mainstream populist sound aimed for commercial rather than critical success, typified by their cover of Harold Melvin's pop classic "If You Don't Know Me By Now", which became their second U.S. #1 hit, and one of the biggest singles of the year internationally; and their greatest success until now. Hucknall was by this time an international superstar, being photographed with models and Hollywood celebrities. This seemed to harm the band's coherence as a unit, with Hucknall declaring in 1991 that Simply Red was "essentially a solo project".
The band's popular career peaked later that year with the release of Stars, which became the best-selling album for two years running in Europe and the UK (though notably had far less success in the US than their previous albums). Stars mixed Hucknall's anti-Thatcherite political lyrics with an easy-listening lounge-jazz sound, apparently to avoid alienation of their existing fanbase. It was featured on the soundtrack of the 1995 movie Jack and Sarah.
After touring and promoting Stars for two years, Simply Red returned in 1995 with "Fairground", a dance-influenced track prominently featuring a sample from Zki & Dobri's Goodmen project. A massive radio hit, "Fairground" went on to become the band's first British #1, amid critical panning[citation needed]. Its parent album Life sold more than a million copies in the UK alone, making it the fourth-biggest seller of the year. The band followed this up with cover heavy Blue in 1998 and Love and the Russian Winter. Subsequent releases have mostly been greatest-hits collections, although the band did release "Home" in 2003, a mixture of original songs and covers, including a version of The Stylistics song "You Make Me Feel Brand New". Simplified followed in 2005, mainly an album of stripped down versions of their Classic hits.
The single "Oh! What A Girl!" released in September 2006 from their album Stay, their 10th, released on 12 March 2007. This was preceded by the single "So Not Over You", released on 5 March 2007. The third single from the album was the title song "Stay", released on 28 May 2007. The fourth and the last single of Simply Red, "The World And You Tonight", was released in November 2007.
Mick Hucknall announced that the band were due to split in 2010, after a farewell tour, starting in early 2009, ending in 2010. This will include the Forestry Commission's Live Music tour, with forest gigs at Bedgebury, Cannock, Dalby, Delamere, Sherwood, Thetford and Westonbirt.
"I've kind of decided that the 25 years is going to be enough, so I intend that the 2009 will be the last Simply Red tour."
Hucknall released his first solo album, Tribute to Bobby on 19 May 2008.
